Re-naming the files on your hard-disk after you have created your sound-library can have far reaching consequences. Music pieces and sound-effects will not be found, and consequently not be played anymore. You will be notified of missing file names when loading the sound-library. An error report will be created in RPG-SoundMixer's "Output" directory. Refer to this file to determine and rectify which sound files are missing.
If you are looking for a fast method of re-naming files in your sound-library (this has no effect on the actual file names of the files on your hard disk), please choose the entry "Replace file names in sound-library..." from the "Sound-library" menu.
You can enter the file name in the upper field of the search/replace dialogue box. Enter the new character string that is to replace the text in the lower field. After confirming by clicking the "OK" button, the program will give you some examples of how the changes will look. If the changes are acceptable, you may confirm them.
