Importing/exporting sound-events
Previous  Top  Next

Not only is it possible to save complete sound-libraries (q.v. Creating a sound-library), but it is also possible to save individual SoundMixer events to a file (exporting) and to load them into any sound-library (importing).

Note: The file-extension for RPG-SoundMixer's events is SEV, e.g. "Mysoundevent.sev".

To import a sound-event, please select "Sound-events..." from the "Sound-library" menu and then choose the mode (q.v. What is a mode?) to place the event into. Then, you click the "Import..." button and open the sound-event file.

To export a sound-event, please choose "Sound-events..." from the "Sound-library" menu and then select the sound-event you would like to save. Then, you click the "Export..." button and enter the file name.

Note: It is not technically possible to export links involving other sound-events (those links that, for example, cause a sound-bank to start or stop another sound-event; q.v. Creating and editing a new sound-bank). You must reestablish those links after the import.
Unfortunately, the CD-playlists' settings (q.v. Editing the CD-playlist) can not be exported either, since the settings for CDs are linked to the sound-library. These settings need to be manually refreshed.
