Create a library overview
Previous  Top  Next

There are two ways of creating an overview of the current library:

1. "Sound-library" menu, "Print sound-events to file" entry

The RPG-SoundMixer creates an alphabetical overview of all sound-events that are arranged into their respective modes (q.v. About sound-events and what they're capable of). It is important to note that this overview lists the sound-events hotkeys.

Example 1:

Music(0)
-----
- Dreadful(D)   * C M
- Euphoric(E)   * C M
- Cheerful(C)   * C M

Travel(1)
-----
- Boat(B)   * S
- Rolling thunder(G)    S
- Thunderclap(D)   * S
- Swamp journey(G)   * C M S

In addition, this file contains notes about how the sound-event behaves, and which content it has. Below is a list of the abbreviations and their meanings:

·*: This event is stopped by striking the key again (q.v. Starting and stopping sound-events)
·C: This event includes a CD-playlist (q.v. Edit CD-playlist)
·M: This event includes a file-playlist (q.v. Edit file-playlist)
·S: This event includes sound-effects/sound-banks (q.v. About sound-banks and what they're capable of...)

Note: This information is printed to a text file that is stored in RPG-SoundMixer's "output" directory. The name of this text file consists of the library name and the appendix "(sound-events)".

Note: This procedure can also be used to print SoundMixer's default keyboard setting.

2. "Sound-library" menu, "Print sound-banks to file" entry

RPG-SoundMixer can also create an alphabetical overview of all sound-events (q.v. About sound-events and what they're capable of...) including their sound-banks (q.v. About sound-banks and what they're capable of...). This means that it contains a complete overview of the sound components of the library's sound-events.

Example 2:

Civilisation (4)
------------

- Working
° sawing
° hammering

- Baby
° crying Baby

- Small town

° barker
° birds

- Inn
° mumbling
° pouring
° burping
° atmosphere (moving chairs, knocking)
° laughter, coughing, sneezing

Note: This information is printed to a text file that is stored in RPG-SoundMixer's "output" directory. The name of this text file consists of the library name and the appendix "(sound-banks)".

3. "Sound-library" menu, "Print used sound-effects to file" entry

And finally, RPG-SoundMixer can create an alphabetical overview of all sound-effects (q.v. Choosing sound-effects). This means that it contains a complete overview of all sound files used (which are used as sound-effects).

Note: This information is printed to a text file that is stored in RPG-SoundMixer's "output" directory. The name of this text file consists of the library name and the appendix "(sound-effects)".
