What are probabilities?
Previous  Top  Next

You can determine the probabilities for playlists (CD and file-playlists) as well as for sound-effects (q.v. Editing the CD-playlist, Editing the file-playlist, and Defining a sound-bank's sound effects).

The probability determines the likelihood of a certain track or file being played. For example, if every track has a probability of 1, all the tracks are going to be played with the same likelihood. if one track has a probability of 10 and another one a probability of only 1, the first one is being played ten times as much on average.

Note: You can only enter integers, no fractions like "0.5" etc.!

Example 1:

Probability of file 1: 40
Probability of file 2: 80

=> File 2 will be played twice as often as file 1 (on average).

Example 2:

Probability of file 1: 15
Probability of file 2: 30
Probability of file 3: 60

=> Track 3 will (on average) be played twice as often as Track 2, and four times as often as Track 1.
